IFMA is proud to announce the release of its new Go-to-Market Model—an interactive online resource that provides foodservice manufacturers and suppliers with critical insights that will inform their go-to-market strategies.
IFMA’s latest installment of its Food Future 2025™ framework, the new Go-to-Market Model identifies how operators across all segments use leading and emerging distribution channels. The model offers insights into factors that influence an operator’s use of distribution channels and will help manufacturers reach their operator customers and advance their strategies, no matter what market segment they sell to.
Built in collaboration with Kinetic12, a food industry management consulting firm, the new Go-to-Market Model is grounded in research conducted by Datassential with over 1,200 independent operators and input from industry leaders. Available exclusively for IFMA members and accessible online through IFMA’s Operator Landscape Portal, the model provides insights into Operator purchase behaviors, product selection, information needs and gaps, technology utilized, and other sourcing motivations.
“IFMA is committed to developing tools that help the foodservice community tackle the critical issues they face,” said Larry Oberkfell, President and CEO of IFMA. “The new online IFMA Go-to-Market Model ensures that our members can quickly and effectively develop plans to target operator segments. This new tool simplifies a very complicated industry into a decision-based tool now at the fingertips of our members. We have now delivered two of the three new online models, and the third tool the Consumer Food JourneySM, is set to release at our fall Presidents Conference."
“We developed the Go-to-Market Model with three key attributes in mind; easily accessible, simple to use, and customizable,” said Art Bell, Partner at Kinetic12. “In the end, we believe we have created a tool that is going to benefit the foodservice industry.”
One of three core pillars of resources that make up IFMA’s Food Future 2025TM platform, the new Go-to-Market Model is part of an initiative to provide the foodservice industry’s first comprehensive and interactive framework into the disruptive forces impacting the total food landscape.
