Meet Peter Cancro, Founder and CEO, Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems, LLC. Peter received the 2019 Silver Plate Award in the Chain Limited Service category, and was nominated by PepsiCo Foodservice.

 

 

 

What do you enjoy most about your career in foodservice?

Being able to inspire, lead and coach people to serve.


Tell us about your biggest career accomplishment.

To have all our 1,600+ stores in 47 states care about giving. Giving to their crews, customers and giving to their communities.


How is your segment making a difference for the foodservice industry?

Our mission statement I think stands out. Giving… making a difference in someone’s life. We like to call it, “The Power of the Sub Sandwich”.


What advice do you have for someone new to the foodservice industry?

To find a place you love being a part of, a place you can make a difference. Also, come in early and stay late.


What does being an IFMA Silver Plate recipient mean to you?

It's an honor to be recognized by this great Foodservice/Hospitality industry!
