IFMA Foodservice Fundamentals™

The industry’s premier training on the basics of foodservice.  

This in-depth course is designed for those new to the industry or anyone needing a refresher on how food moves from manufacturers to operators in the United States.  

 

During this course, you'll learn how foodservice works, hear perspectives directly from the operator, and complete knowledge retention assessments along the way! 

 

The course curriculum includes:

  • A deep dive into foodservice definitions and structure
  • Basics of the foodservice value chain
  • A focus on restaurant segments
  • The role of retail foodservice and on-site categories
