After a year of delays, the FDA Reportable Food Registry and related requirements went into effect on September 8.
Certain factories, warehouses and other covered facilities are now required to submit a report to the FDA within 24 hours if they find a reasonable probability that an article of food will cause severe health problems or death to a person or animal.

Designed to help participants comply with the new requirements, this presentation focuses on:

  • What facilities are covered
  • Who must report problems
  • When responsible persons must investigate and report
  • What constitutes a reportable food
  • What information must be included in the report
  • Who may view submissions and for what purposes may the data be used
  • When responsible persons must notify others in the supply chain
  • Pending legislation that may change the reporting requirements
