Timothy J. Dietzler, Director of Dining Services at Villanova University was awarded IFMA's coveted Gold Plate Award during the Gold & Silver Plate Celebration on May 24. Dietzler is the first college & university operator to win a Gold Plate since IFMA switched from a single award to multiple silver plate categories in 1968. The Gold and Silver Plate awards have been in existence for 56 years. More than 500 foodservice executives cheered the announcement by IFMA Awards Committee Chair Michael Hickey, Executive Vice President of Ecolab. Dietzler was nominated by Basic American Foods.
