The Small/Midsized Business (SMB) Community represents roughly one half of IFMA's manufacturer members. The Community provides an opportunity for Small/Midsized Business companies to access resources, interface with operators, learn from industry experts and discuss shared interests and challenges, which are critical to their success.

Final Menu Labeling Rules Released by FDA

On Novemer 25th, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration released two final rules for menu and vending machine labeling. The long-awaited rules, which stem from provisions in the Affordable Care Act, take broad latitude in the types of food items and establishments that will be covered.

 

FDA Releases Revised FSMA Rules

On September 19, 2014, FDA released four supplementary notices of proposed rule-makings (SNPRMs), revised versions of four of the proposed rules it released previously as part of its implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) of 2011. The agency committed to revise the originally proposed rules after receiving significant feedback from industry stakeholders about various aspects of each rule.
