Strike Teams

Much has been said and written about the level of change in our industry. However, only you know your company’s needs and current readiness to address these changes. How do you combine the two? Your IFMA Board of Directors has created a process and a foundation to address both.

IFMA’s basic tenet is to help you lead today and at the same time understand and get ready for the future. Three Strike Teams have been formed that will meet to understand and create strategic solutions for your companies on; The Consumer Path to Consumption, The New Operator Landscape and Go-To–Market. Ambitious subject matter experts from IFMA member companies have come together to form these three strike teams. Strike team members will work over the course of the next 12 months to provide direction on the scope and deliverables for each of the following areas:

Consumer path-to-consumption: Creating a model to understand and change the consumer’s food decisions, across the entire food spectrum so you can win their spending choices. All products will be discussed including packaging needs for food to-go and delivery. Strike Team members should come from marketing and insights departments.

New operator landscape: Evaluating the current operator landscape and understanding how it will continue to evolve, including both traditional and new developing venues. This team will discuss and evaluate how manufacturer companies should be designed now and in the future in order to succeed. Strike Team members should come from channel/customer marketing, sales, and insights departments.

New go-to-market model: Creating a new model that provides manufacturers an understanding of all go-to-market options from traditional broadliners to ecommerce, helping you optimize your choices to succeed. Strike Team members should come from channel/customer marketing, sales, insights, sales operations and supply chain departments.
