UniPro Foodservice Announces Executive Retirement and New Appointment
Atlanta – UniPro Foodservice, Inc. announced that following a successful 26-year tenure as UniPro’s Executive Vice President Sales – East, Don Gilligan will retire in July 2018. The firm also announced that Scott Strull has been named Executive Vice President Sales effective April 16, 2018.
Bob Stewart, UniPro Foodservice CEO stated “One of UniPro’s Core Principles is its People. We were fortunate to have Don’s industry experience for nearly 26 years. And, as Scott assumes responsibility for all UniPro Sales, we will be able to fulfill our mission to enhance Member profitability, long-term growth and competitive position. We wish Don well in his retirement and continued success to Scott.”
Scott joined UniPro in 1996 and has held several key management positions including most recently Executive Vice President Sales – West. Scott’s new responsibilities include managing a team of both Regional Vice Presidents and Regional Sales Directors driving both distributor and supplier results, as well as new member recruitment. Scott also has responsibility for the execution of UniPro’s Private Brands initiative including managing the new Vice President Private Brands.
Scott has been in the food industry for more than forty years. His vast industry experience includes retail grocery, chain restaurant management, and 13 years as a manufacturer/supplier where he was responsible for a myriad of trade sectors/segments in both national and private brands.
Don will retire in July after almost 26 years with UniPro. Don joined UniPro in 1992 and, during his tenure, Don has served in several positions and has played a key role in helping to shape the company to where it is today. Over the next few months. Don will focus his efforts on the establishment of UniPro’s new Business Development Department.
