It sounds simple. Get the best people to address marketing, culinary, supply chain and operations and you will soon achieve world class operations in your restaurant. But those who have managed even the most talented groups of foodservice professionals know there is nothing easy about establishing cohesive teamwork within any organization, especially a nationally-recognized operator brand that brings excellence to market every single day.

Carin Stutz is one of those noted leaders who understands just how many different skill sets need to be taken into consideration when building successful foodservice teams. She has done it many times before, while serving in executive positions at national chain operator brands like Cosi, Applebees and Chilis. And now, Ms. Stutz will be taking this wealth of experience to McAlister's Deli, where she just began serving as the company's CEO this past November.

Founded in 1989, McAlister's now has more than 330 locations located in 24 states. The award-winning fast casual restaurant chain is best known for sandwiches, spuds, soups, salads and McAlister's Famous Sweet Tea. Stutz will be tasked with growing McAlister's operations throughout the U.S.

Ms. Stutz will be a part of the Closing Keynote Panel at IFMA's Chain Operator EXchange March 1-4. She and other leading operator executives will comment on how building a winning team is a critical part of gaining the consumer choice. All IFMA members are welcome to attend COEX.
