Committed to giving support to qualified culinary, marketing or food science students, the IFMA Educational Foundation promotes the next generation of foodservice leaders.  IFMA's purpose is to initiate and fund programs and scholarships for outstanding students and to advance their placement in top-tier foodservice organizations.

Since 1972, the foundation has provided more than $1 million in scholarships to students studying foodservice. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the foundation ensures 100% of donor contributions go towards funding scholarships while IFMA provides in-kind services to administer the foundation.

At the 2014 Presidents Conference in Phoenix, AZ, the Educational Foundation hosted their 4th Annual "Pink Ball" Golf Tournament and an evening reception with a silent auction that successfully raised funds towards the 2014 goal.

IFMA would like to recognize the two students from Michigan State University who attended the conference and got to mingle with leading industry talent:Taylor Steve, 2014 IFMA Educational Foundation Scholarship recipient andSara Schumer, 2014 IFMA International Gold & Silver Plate Society internship stipend recipient - wishing them continued success in their studies and careers.

The Foundation raised a total of $220,000 in 2014, continuing to support our commitment to the next generation of foodservice leaders.
