2015 "State of the Foodservice Industry" Report

Supported by two recent IFMA surveys, leaders of the foodservice industry’s largest associations representing manufacturers, operators and distributors revealed the state of the foodservice industry today, as well as several areas where big changes are expected in the years to come. GDSN Major Release 3 Rescheduled for May 20, Letter Provides Important Preparation Details

A letter to the IFMA Membership Community from Angela Fernandez, Vice President, Foodservice and Retail Grocery, GS1 US Industry Engagement, alerts users of the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) to be ready for “Major Release 3”, originally scheduled to take place on May 6, but now moved back to May 20. Loss of service may severely impact a company’s ability to receive item data through the network. The letter provides guidance on what to expect and how to prepare for the release.
